Virtual Scrum

Experience Scrum the way it is meant to be practiced — through hands-on participation, team collaboration, and live sprint simulations.

What Is Virtual Scrum?

Virtual Scrum is iTaikan's most interactive training experience. Instead of learning Scrum theory from slides, you learn it by doing it. Participants are organized into teams and practice real Scrum processes — from sprint planning to retrospectives — in a guided virtual environment.

This program is designed for people who understand the basics of Scrum but have never had the opportunity to practice it in a team setting. It bridges the gap between knowing Scrum and confidently applying it in a professional context.

What Happens in Virtual Scrum

  • Teams are formed with assigned roles: Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Development Team members
  • Sprint simulations run across multiple sessions, giving you end-to-end experience
  • Live Scrum ceremonies are practiced: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, Retrospective
  • Backlog grooming sessions with sample product backlogs
  • Sprint execution with story tracking, status updates, and blockers management
  • Games and engaging activities that reinforce Scrum concepts
  • Observation and feedback from experienced mentors throughout

Who Should Join

  • Aspiring Scrum Masters who want to practice before entering the role
  • Professionals who have completed Scrum training but lack hands-on experience
  • Team members who want to understand how Scrum works in practice
  • Anyone who learns best through participation and collaboration
  • Career changers exploring agile roles who need practical exposure

How Practical Sessions Work

Virtual Scrum runs in structured batches. Each batch spans several sessions where your team progresses through complete sprint cycles. You start with understanding the project context and building a backlog, then move into planning and executing sprints.

Throughout the process, mentors guide conversations, share observations, and provide individual feedback. You will rotate through roles so everyone gets a chance to experience different responsibilities. The emphasis is always on participation — every team member contributes, asks questions, and learns from each other.

Benefits of Learning with a Group

  • Collaborative learning accelerates understanding of Scrum dynamics
  • Practicing ceremonies with real people builds facilitation confidence
  • Peer discussions surface questions you might not think of on your own
  • Team-based exercises simulate actual workplace interactions
  • Community connections that extend beyond the training sessions
  • Safe environment to make mistakes and learn without workplace pressure

What Makes Virtual Scrum Different

Most Scrum trainings tell you about Scrum. Virtual Scrum lets you experience it. You will walk away not just knowing what a Sprint Retrospective is, but having facilitated one. Not just knowing what a burndown chart shows, but having tracked your own team's progress through a sprint.

This experiential approach builds genuine confidence — the kind that comes from having done something, not just having read about it.
